Custodian Position
The primary function of the Custodian is to provide students with a safe, attractive, comfortable, clean and efficient place in which to learn, play and develop. Keep assigned areas of the building and premises, including sidewalks, driveways and play areas, neat and clean at all times. Inspect assigned areas of the buildings daily for hazards to ensure safety and avoid property loss. Work cooperatively with all other school personnel and students. Sweep and clean areas assigned daily to the standard expected by the Head Custodian and Building Principal. Report immediately to the principal any damage to school property. Work safely and follow necessary and required procedures per MSDS and district policy when using cleaning chemicals to ensure safety. Perform such duties as assigned by the Board of Education or its designees. Terms of employment: See BESPA contract and individual contract.
