Curriculum Writer For Student Lesson Book

We're building out the official student lesson book for our school program for grades 5–12. We already have a piloted curriculum framework and student worksheets; what's missing is the actual teaching content: clear, engaging explanations, definitions, and concept breakdowns that bring each lesson to life.

We're looking for a strong curriculum writer to build this content from the ground up.

Write the full student lesson book — definitions, concept explanations, and instructional narrative — based on our existing curriculum outline and prior pilot materials

Ensure new lesson content aligns with and complements our existing student worksheets, adjusting worksheets as needed for consistency

Maintain a consistent tone, vocabulary, and progression of concepts across all lessons

Incorporate feedback and direction from our curriculum lead into revisions

Support content development for new curriculum tracks as they're introduced

Strong writing and editing background, ideally in children's educational content or curriculum writing for grades 5–12

Ability to translate complex or abstract concepts into clear, age-appropriate explanations

Comfortable working from an existing outline or framework rather than starting from a blank page

Highly detail-oriented, with the ability to maintain a consistent voice across a large body of content

Comfort incorporating feedback and iterating quickly

Experience writing workbooks, student handouts, or other printed/digital lesson materials

Experience working within an established curriculum framework rather than designing one independently

Experience in K-12 or youth education, project-based or experiential learning, or digital learning or EdTech would be valuable.
