The Cultural Resources Project Manager role offers flexibility with a hybrid or fully remote work environment, paired with meaningful fieldwork and site engagement across Northern California.As a Cultural Resources Project Manager, your day may begin with coordinating field survey logistics, followed by reviewing archaeological findings or preparing technical reports. You'll collaborate with clients, agencies, and Tribal representatives, mentor team members, and guide projects from proposal through completion. The Cultural Resources Project Manager role blends leadership, technical expertise, and relationship-building—making every day dynamic and rewarding.As a Cultural Resources Project Manager, you will:Lead and oversee cultural resources projects across Northern CaliforniaManage research, field surveys, data recovery, and artifact analysisDirect mitigation monitoring programs and reporting effortsPrepare proposals and technical documentsCoordinate with clients, agencies, Tribal representatives, and internal teamsManage project schedules, budgets, and deliverablesSupport business development and client relationship growthSalary will be based on qualifications and/or experience, with a robust benefits package.

These protections extend to all management practices and decisions, including recruitment and hiring, appraisal systems, promotions, training, and career development programs.PM21Minimum Requirements:Master's degree or higher in archaeology, anthropology, history, or related fieldMinimum 6 years of archaeology experience (field surveys, reports, and agency coordination)At least 2 years in environmental consulting or agency settingsStrong knowledge of CEQA, NEPA, and Section 106 complianceExperience with northern and central California prehistoric and historic archaeologyExcellent writing, analytical, and communication skillsValid California driver's licenseRegistered Professional Archaeologist (RPA) or ability to obtainPreferred Qualifications: Ideal Cultural Resources Project Manager candidates also have:Specialized analytical skills (e.g., geoarchaeology, lithics, ceramics)GPS and field data collection experienceExperience coordinating with agencies and Native American groupsEstablished client relationships
