Culinary Support Manager - Memorial Union Kitchen

Food Service Assistant ManagerThe Wisconsin Union is seeking a Culinary Support Manager to play a leadership role in the daily management and smooth operation of our high-volume production kitchen located in the Memorial Union. Reporting to the Associate Executive Chef, this position will manage and develop kitchen staff, coordinate daily food production, order and receive product, plan menus, and ensure we consistently deliver exceptional customer service and high-quality culinary products. You will be instrumental in fostering a productive team environment and upholding our standards for safety and quality.

In this role you will:Plan, lead, and coordinate daily food production activities to maximize efficiency and ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality product.Lead and direct the implementation of best practices for kitchen organization, safety, efficiency, and established operating procedures.Order and receive product.Develop and plan menus.Manage full-time cooks and student workers in both the kitchen and dish room.Support our catering and retail/restaurant teams.This position comes with a pension plan, vacation, sick leave, and other great benefits. This position will also occasionally work on Sundays as needed.

Special Event Weekends such as Football Weekends, Homecoming, Labor Day and Commencement are part of the schedule.
