Lead Developer/Hands-on CTO – Crypto Purchasing PlatformChicago, ILWe are an established crypto-currency based company, that has bootstrapped a business that is funded through revenue, and is growing at a pace of 20,000 new users/month. We have about 100 total employees, and are launching a new product line/division, which is the reason this position is open. We are looking for a hands-on Lead Developer/CTO to work closely with the business leaders of this new division to develop a fintech application that focuses on automating the purchasing of crypto.
You'll be recommending the initial tech stack, spearheading the architecture and development yourself, and then growing a team to continue to iterate on an exciting product roadmap.What we're looking for:5+ years of experience with hands-on, full-stack, software development experienceAt least 1 year of experience with trading platforms or other relevant FinTech applications that involve connectivity with financial institutionsExperience leading software development projectsExperience recommending tech stacks to use for new projectsExperience leading and mentoring less experienced developersPassion for cryptocurrency is a mustNice to have skills:Java Development experience (our core business applications are built with Java, but we'll trust your recommendation on what stack to use for the new product launch you'll be spearheading)Cryptocurrency and/or Blockchain experienceFamiliarity with various authentication schemesOpenAPI (Swagger) authoring
