CTE Partnership Liaison
Pay Grade: 860 (Min $367.92 per day) Work Days: 226
Primary Purpose: The CTE Partnership Liaison serves as the primary bridge between Plano ISD's Career & Technical Education programs, the local business community, district campuses, and departments. The core mission of this role is to cultivate, manage, and sustain strategic partnerships that enhance student learning and workforce readiness. This includes leading comprehensive program marketing to increase visibility, identifying and securing resources (financial, equipment, and expertise), and collaborating across the district to ensure CTE initiatives are integrated and impactful. The Liaison works in leads and/or collaborates with others to execute high-profile events and projects that showcase student achievement and industry alignment.
Qualifications: Education/Certification/Experience: Teacher Certification (preferred) Three years of CTE teaching experience, workforce development, or corporate relations Leadership Experience Special Knowledge/Skills: An understanding and working knowledge of Career & Technical Education (CTE). Ability to clearly and knowledgeably articulate the goals and philosophy of the district's CTE program and initiatives Professional skills including organizing, planning, problem-solving, decision making, and working efficiently, both independently and in teams Ability to develop, implement and manage projects and programs with professionalism Experience with managing social media platforms (preferred)
Major Responsibilities and Duties: Develop a comprehensive plan to increase the number of partners and increase the way that partners can engage with CTE Actively scout and engage local businesses, non-profits, and higher education institutions to create new partnerships that could include work-based learning (WBL), mentorships, teacher externships, field trips, financial and/or equipment/supply donations, or specific to each entity's needs Assist with coordinating and facilitating CTE Industry Advisory Committees to ensure program standards meet current market demands Represent Plano ISD CTE Department as needed at Chamber of Commerce events, business and industry events, workforce meetings, parent meetings and district events Stay current with WBL needs, seek additional placements as needed, and keep track of data that correlates with the program Assist with submitting CTE data into the district's CRM system Collaborate with the Plano ISD Education Foundation, stakeholders and others as needed to draft and implement partnership agreements Collaborate with other campuses, departments, and groups to organize college and career fairs, open house events, Find Your Future and Plano for you Future events, campus tours, field trips, and industry-specific guest speaker series Identify and pursue external funding opportunities, equipment donations, and sponsorships to enhance lab facilities and student resources Develop marketing materials to showcase student success stories, CTE programming, and the benefits of partnering with Plano ISD CTE Collaborate with CTE Coordinators to connect classroom needs with industry resources. Collaborate with campus and district administration, counselors and teachers to implement district initiatives related to career and technical education Lead information sessions to stakeholders as needed Report to the Director of Career and Technical Education for performance related to responsibilities Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents required Follow all rules, regulations, and policies of PISD and follow directives from supervisor Follow attendance policy as assigned by supervisor Perform other functions that may be assigned by administration and/or supervisor Strong organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
