CT TechnologistOur Tucker outpatient facility is seeking a full-time CT Technologist to join us on our mission to provide top-notch patient care while fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. The department features a GE Optima 660 128 slice with AW processing workstation. We are looking for a confident and compassionate professional who is reliable, flexible, self-motivated and has a positive attitude.
Some responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Performing CT and CTA scans according to protocolsCalcium Scoring and Coronary Angiography experience desirableManaging CT schedule workflowPerforming basic X-rays using in-house CR systemEffectively producing high quality images for interpretationsProducing reports according to MD's interpretationWorking with the front office to maximize schedulesMake reminder calls to patients to provide prep instructionsExplain and prepare each patient for CT examsBe able to recognize emergent patient conditions and act on them accordinglyMust have proficient venipuncture skills and be able to prepare and administer contrast materialsTake all required safety measures to minimize radiation exposure for patients and staffMonitor equipment performance and take appropriate actions to arrange service or repairsInterface with other departments when sharing mutual patientsOrder all supplies for CT departmentAssist with ACR reaccreditationAssist with preauthorizing scheduled examsPerform all other duties as assigned or required to ensure operation of the department within the scope of practiceMinimum Qualifications:Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology and at a minimum be registered with the ARRT.One year minimum experience preferred.Advanced certification in CT preferred.Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association required.
