Details discussed during the interview process.OverviewEmployment Type: Full TimeShifts Available: Days or Mid shiftsHours: 8's, 10's or 12'sLocation: Southern Regional Medical Center – Riverdale, GAResponsibilitiesPrepare patients and ensure patients are properly positioned on the Computer Tomography (CT) table and explain the procedure to them with empathy, address any concerns or questions they may have.Operate CT scanners and/or X-ray machines to obtain images of the targeted body parts, which may involve adjusting the CT scanner settings to optimize image quality while minimizing radiation exposure, radiation safety at all times.Monitor our patients, as a CT Technologist ensure their comfort and safety throughout the procedure.Assist other radiologists, as you will work closely with them, who interpret the images you produced by the CT exam you may also assist in administering contrast agents or perform certain procedures.Accountable for the quality assurance of CT scanners / X-ray machines to ensure they function properly and produce accurate images.QualificationsGraduate of a program accredited by ARRTRadiology license and fluoroscopy permit as required by StateEffective 07/01/2015, CT ARRT Certification is requiredMust maintain BCLS (AHA) upon hireKnowledge of mobile and stationary Radiographic / Fluoroscopic equipment is requiredExtensive knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology is requiredProficient computer skillsEmployment StatusFull TimeEqual Employment OpportunityCompany is an equal employment opportunity employer.
