RAYUS Radiology is looking for a CT Technologist to join our team. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for operating assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide CT services within professional standards and with excellent customer service. This is a full-time position working in multimodalities (CT, C-arm, and X-ray) Monday-Friday various shifts between the hours of 7:00am-5:30pm, no call or weekends. Willing to train in CT. Option to work 0.8 or 0.9 status available (benefits included).
Responsibilities
- Screen patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions, using two patient identifiers.
- Explain and prepare patients for scanning imaging procedures, positioning them appropriately.
- Perform routine and advanced scanning imaging procedures, providing patient support throughout the procedure.
- Adjust scanning parameters correctly, utilizing dose reduction techniques as appropriate.
- Follow physicians' orders precisely, conform to safety regulations, and maintain patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
- Maintain ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
- Maintain an orderly and clean work area, promoting safety habits for patients and co-workers.
- Assist with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades.
- Monitor medical supply inventory and request supplies as necessary.
- Assist with training of new team members, providing resource and technical expertise.
- Complete other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
- High School diploma, or equivalent.
- Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography.
- ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing.
- Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform CT procedures independently.
- Certification in imaging specialty.
Preferred
- Bilingual.
