Job Summary And Qualifications

CT Technologist (PRN). Florida licensed. Duties include:

  • Select technical factors, perform and complete diagnostic CT examinations accurately, caring, compassionate, respectful.
  • Possess thorough knowledge of CT scanner, pressure injector, resuscitation equipment, laser filmer, teleradiology system.
  • Assist in contrast media administration.
  • Prepare, transfer, position patients ensuring modesty and safe use of equipment.
  • Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, complete MEDITECH fields accurately.
  • Obtain high-quality CT images, ensuring optimal images for interpretation.
  • Remain proficient in software protocols; stay updated with changes via in-service study, courses, seminars.
  • Maintain proactive communication with patients and colleagues including radiologist.
  • Check equipment operation, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment, prevent cross-contamination, keep room stocked.
  • Accept on-call and call-back responsibilities as needed.
  • For roles in our free-standing ER, proficiency in both X-Ray and CT is required.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a 24‑month Radiologic Technology program at an accredited AMA‑approved institution.
  • Valid ARRT (CT) certification.
  • Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Ability to perform work requiring frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and/or lifting of patients/equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Minimum of 1–3 years current/recent experience in diagnostic radiology, preferably in an acute‑care hospital setting.
