Job Summary and Qualifications

The CT Technologist performs routine and specialized imaging procedures in the application of ionizing radiation in accordance with the established professional and departmental standards. The CT Tech provides high-quality computerized tomography images used by physicians for diagnosis and treatment.

What you will do in this role

  • Compassionately assist and position patients on the CT table.
  • Start IVs for contrast injection when necessary.
  • Assess image quality and make adjustments when necessary.
  • Release patients with proper post‑procedure instructions.
  • Turn over and prepare the room using aseptic technique between patients and clean/sterilize equipment.
  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

What qualifications you will need

  • Graduate of an accredited AMA program with a certificate or degree in Radiology Technology.
  • ARRT‑CT or NMTCB‑CT certification or registry‑eligible required within 6 months of hire.
  • Must hold a current license with the Kansas Board of Healing Arts.
  • Registered Radiographer (ARRT) must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
  • BCLS required within 30 days of start date.
  • Two years of experience preferred with additional training in CT scanning.
  • On‑call required and must have the ability to report to the facility within 30 minutes of call back.
