CT Technologist - PRN
nEssential Duties & Responsibilities:

- Access patient's condition prior to administering contrast media or performing radiography procedure n
- Perform radiographic procedures as prescribed by physician determining proper technique through selection of voltage, current and exposure time. n
- Position patient for the proper view of affected area and instruct patient on proper physiological requirements for procedure. n
- Prepare contracts media and administer to patient either intravenously or through other body cavities. n
- Ensure that required consent forms are signed prior to procedure. n
- Chart completion of exams and other pertinent information in patient charts. n
- Discuss procedure results with departmental supervisor when indicated. n
- Participate in quality assurance monitoring and recording outcomes. n
- Operate portable radiographic equipment for performance of procedures throughout hospital including medical/surgical and cardiac care units and recover and emergency rooms. n
- Work control desk and perform PACS duties as needed. n
- Ensure accurate PACS operation and transmission of images for interpretation. n
- Teach radiography technology students proper procedures, x-rays physics, equipment operation, anatomy and duties and responsibilities of RT. n
- Transport and assist other transport patients to/from imaging departments. n
Education: Graduate of accredited 2 year program in RT with current registration from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
nExperience: 2 year demonstrable experience in diagnostic imaging
