CT Technologist - PRN

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    n
  1. Access patient's condition prior to administering contrast media or performing radiography procedure
  2. n
  3. Perform radiographic procedures as prescribed by physician determining proper technique through selection of voltage, current and exposure time.
  4. n
  5. Position patient for the proper view of affected area and instruct patient on proper physiological requirements for procedure.
  6. n
  7. Prepare contracts media and administer to patient either intravenously or through other body cavities.
  8. n
  9. Ensure that required consent forms are signed prior to procedure.
  10. n
  11. Chart completion of exams and other pertinent information in patient charts.
  12. n
  13. Discuss procedure results with departmental supervisor when indicated.
  14. n
  15. Participate in quality assurance monitoring and recording outcomes.
  16. n
  17. Operate portable radiographic equipment for performance of procedures throughout hospital including medical/surgical and cardiac care units and recover and emergency rooms.
  18. n
  19. Work control desk and perform PACS duties as needed.
  20. n
  21. Ensure accurate PACS operation and transmission of images for interpretation.
  22. n
  23. Teach radiography technology students proper procedures, x-rays physics, equipment operation, anatomy and duties and responsibilities of RT.
  24. n
  25. Transport and assist other transport patients to/from imaging departments.
  26. n

Education: Graduate of accredited 2 year program in RT with current registration from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists

Experience: 2 year demonstrable experience in diagnostic imaging
