Hourly Wage Estimate: $38.60 - $59.16 / hour

Shift Requirements

  • PRN; rotate between South Parker ER and main Sky Ridge Hospital. Requirement: two shifts per month—one at each facility, with availability for additional shifts. South Parker ER shifts: 7:00-7:00 day or night. Main Hospital shifts: variable days or nights—full or short shifts as needed.

Job Summary

Cat Scan Technologists (CT) use computerized tomography scanners to produce cross-section images of patients’ internal organs for medical diagnosis. The role involves accurately interpreting physician’s instructions, administering contrast materials, preparing and operating CT equipment, and positioning patients to capture appropriate images.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize computed tomography equipment to take images of a patient’s body from different angles.
  • Communicate and work independently performing CT procedures on patients ranging from newborn to late adulthood.
  • Prepare patients for radiological procedures by positioning them, adjusting immobilization devices, moving equipment to the specified position, and setting exposure factors.
  • Display professional concern and consideration when interacting with patients, medical staff, and employees.
  • Maintain solid to expert knowledge of all CT procedures.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a 24-month AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology, certified by ARRT.
  • ARRT(RT)(CT) certification required; CE compliance and current BLS certification required.
  • Minimum 1 year of diagnostic experience; CT experience preferred.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology.
