Overview

The Computed Tomography Technologist (CT) reports to the CT supervisor of CT and manager of radiology. Under general supervision, the CT Technologist performs high‑quality CT examinations in accordance with established protocols on patient populations ranging from neonate through geriatrics for interpretation by a physician. Other duties as deemed necessary.

Schedule

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40. Work Shift: Continuous – 6‑8 hours per shift; Frequent – 2‑6 hours per shift; Infrequent – 0‑2 hours per shift.

Physical Requirements

  • Continuous: Ability to perform job functions while standing, sitting, walking, bend at the waist, twist at the waist, firm grasping, fine manipulation with fingers and hands, repetitive motions with hands/wrists/elbows and shoulders, lift and carry 50 lbs unassisted, lift/lower 50 lbs objects from/to 36 inches unassisted, maintain 20/40 vision (corrected), good peripheral vision, maintain hearing acuity, maintain tactile sensory functions, qualify for respirator use.
  • Frequent: Ability to perform job functions while walking, climb stairs, work in confined/cramped spaces, work from elevated areas, reach overhead, perform gross motor activities with fingers and hands, maintain vision and hearing, work rotating shifts, work overtime, work in a latex‑safe environment, maintain olfactory sensory function.
  • Infrequent: Ability to perform job functions while climbing stairs, work outside in temperature extremes, perform job functions from kneeling positions, lift and carry 50 lbs unassisted, lift from 36” to overhead 25 lbs, exert up to 50 lbs of force.
