Overview

Texas Oncology is looking for a CT Technologist to join our team!This position will support the Imaging/Radiation Oncology Department at our TXO Plano West location located in Plano, Texas.

This position will be either a level 1, 2 or Sr based on relevant candidate experience.

What does theCTTechdo?

Under general supervision, is responsible forthe coordination and administration of all CT radiologic exams; ensures technical quality andtimelyreporting of results. Assures compliance withappropriate regulatoryagencies related to patient and employee safety. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program,to includethe Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

Responsibilities

  • Performs CT procedures as ordered achievinga high levelof quality.
  • Offersexpertiseto physiciansregardingappropriateness of additional/modified studies, etc.
  • Escorts patients to treatment room.Assistswithdressingsas necessary. Completes all paperwork necessary to ensuretimelydelivery of CT services.
  • Develops and processes radiologic films. Logs radiologic procedures completed. Processes routine paperwork.
  • Provides protection forpatientand selfin accordance withprescribed safety standards.
  • Ensures the safety and physical comfort of the patient while intechnologistscare.
  • Conducts daily quality control measures to monitor machine performance. Reports all malfunctions and/or need for adjustments to the proper company or facility.
  • Arranges preventive maintenance as recommended by vendor. Followsprescribed safety standards in operating equipment.
  • Orders, logs, and returns outside films requested from other agencies; completesappropriate documentation.
  • Arranges for the release of films to patients and outside agencies.
  • Maintains paperwork for tracking loaned films. Maintainsconfidentiallyof all information related to patients and medical staff.

Qualifications

Level 1

  • Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology from an accredited school.
  • Minimum threeyears experienceas a CT Technologist.
  • Certification as a registered radiologic technologist (ARRT)required.
  • Current IV and CPR certifications required.
  • Certification in CT preferred.

Level 2 (in addition to level 1 requirements)

  • Minimum fiveyears experienceas a CT Technologist.

Level Sr (in addition to level 1 and 2 requirements)

  • Minimum sevenyears experienceas a CT Technologist.

Requires ability to reach above shoulder height. Requires sitting/standing for extensive periods of time. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
