Job Summary
The CT Technologist will coordinate imaging services, manage patient throughput, operate CT equipment, and perform diagnostic procedures per ACR standards. Responsibilities include maintaining equipment, ensuring staff training, and delivering excellent patient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform prescribed CT procedures and radiographs.
- Operate CT scan equipment with proficiency.
- Apply knowledge of human anatomy and physiology during scans.
- Document findings on film or electronically.
- Communicate pertinent patient information to physicians.
- Implement radiation safety principles to minimize risk.
- Participate in rotating call schedule.
- Assume additional department duties as required.
Qualifications
Education
- Associate Degree or higher in Radiologic Technology.
- Graduate of a JRCERT‑accredited program or an AMA‑approved program, or equivalent military training.
Experience
- One to two years of prior CT experience preferred.
Licenses and Certifications
- Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist by the Texas Medical Board (TMB).
- Registered Technologist with ARRT® and post‑primary certification in CT (ARRT®(CT)) within six months of hire.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
