Education Requirements
- Graduate of accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Experience
- 1-2 years of experience as a CT Technologist, or
- Successful completion of a CT externship through an approved CT program
Licenses/Certifications
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (RT.R.ARRT) certification in Radiography required
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (RT.CT.ARRT) certification in Computed Tomography required
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) strongly preferred at time of hire; required within 3 months of hire
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with hospital personnel, patients, co-workers, and the public
- Ability to perform venipuncture for injections and manage IV for power injector use
- Willingness to gain knowledge of other modalities for cross-training opportunities
- Proficiency in caring for patients of all ages (infants to elderly)
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize workflow
- Adherence to Universal Standard precautions and Radiation Safety guidelines
- Flexibility to accommodate schedule fluctuations, including overtime, irregular hours, and on-call duties
