CT Technologist - Full-time - NightsEssential Duties & Responsibilities:Access patient's condition prior to administering contrast media or performing radiography procedurePerform radiographic procedures as prescribed by physician determining proper technique through selection of voltage, current and exposure timePosition patient for the proper view of affected area and instruct patient on proper physiological requirements for procedurePrepare contrast media and administer to patient either intravenously or through other body cavitiesEnsure that required consent forms are signed prior to procedureChart completion of exams and other pertinent information in patient chartsDiscuss procedure results with departmental supervisor when indicatedParticipate in quality assurance monitoring and recording outcomesOperate portable radiographic equipment for performance of procedures throughout hospital including medical/surgical and cardiac care units and recover and emergency roomsWork control desk and perform PACS duties as neededEnsure accurate PACS operation and transmission of images for interpretationTeach radiography technology students proper procedures, x-rays physics, equipment operation, anatomy and duties and responsibilities of RTTransport and assist other transport patients to/from imaging departmentsShift: NightsShift: 7p-7aSpecialty Type: Diagnostic ImagingSub Specialties: CT TechnologistGeneral Certifications: General Certifications(ACLS,BLS/BCLS,PALS,NRP)
