About The Job

CardioNow is hiring a detail oriented Cardiovascular Technologist to join the practice! You will play a pivotal role in diagnosing and treating heart and blood vessel conditions, using sophisticated imaging technologies to provide essential insights that guide patient care. You will report directly to the supervising Physician.

What you’ll do

  • Work collaboratively with the entire CT team of physicians, managers, nurses, and technologists.
  • Perform cardiac CT imaging.
  • Perform body CT imaging if needed.
  • Perform CT examinations according to established operating clinical protocols and techniques to produce high‑quality images.
  • Set the appropriate scanning parameters on equipment such as milliamperage, exposure time, slice thickness, cradle increment, orientation, scan field of view, etc.
  • Provide CT images to physician through use of PACS, and/or other specialized interpretation software and enter patients in Athena EMR.
  • Analyze patient’s medical records and interview patient to obtain relevant history as necessary.
  • Explain and properly position patient for examination causing least discomfort or distress. Use immobilization apparatus if necessary to maintain required position.
  • Perform daily quality control testing on CT system, ensure all equipment is adequately maintained and in working order, perform preventative maintenance, and report equipment failures immediately to supervisor.
  • Obtain IV access for administration of contrast media for CT enhancement in accordance with department policy and physician order.
  • Practice infection control techniques and adhere to radiology safety guidelines.
  • Provide CT services promptly, efficiently, safely, and cost effectively.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patients and employees.
  • Educate the patient about the test.
  • Communicate with patients before the test regarding special instructions or scheduling issues.
  • Complete appropriate documents as required (logbooks, worksheets, screening forms, etc.).
  • Enter patient data and complete appropriate documentation data into Athena EMR or other health information systems.

What you’ll need

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or Computed Tomography.
  • Completed formalized CT course, as part of or in addition to formal education.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Computer Tomography ((ARRT(CT))).
  • 1-3 years of experience in performing Cardiac Computerized Tomography (CT), including Cardiac Computed Angiography of the heart and the coronary arteries.
  • Cardiac stress testing experience required.
  • Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Able to maintain continuing education credits as required by certifying body or society.
  • Strong preference for those with both cardiac CT and nuclear cardiology.
  • Ability to correctly identify cardiac imaging protocol in discussion with cardiologists.
  • Competent to perform and post‑process advanced protocols such as: TAVR, Cardiac CTA, Gated Chest, Runoffs, Brain Perfusions, Lung and Heart Screenings, etc.

Lynnwood, WA office located at rd Ave W.

Additional Information

Per Diem rate of $60-$65 an hour. This person will be utilized on an as‑needed basis.
