This position supports the mission of HCA HealthONE Mountain Ridge of optimizing the quality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus on medical needs to the needs of the whole person. Under the direction of the Radiology Director, manages daily operations of CT. Performs diagnostic and therapeutic CT exams for patient's age's pediatric through geriatric. Responsible for maintaining expert technical and patient-care skills and provide quality diagnostic results. Responsible for supply/inventory management. Responsible for staff performance and evaluations. Responsible for CT QC and PI data. Serves as a technical resource to all CT staff and hospital departments. When need arises, will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
The ARRT practice standards describe the clinical competency requirements and job responsibilities. The licensed independent practioner controls the ordering, preparation and administration of the medication/contrast. The LIP has given authority to competently trained technologist to perform this function under their control within the facilities guidelines and policies.
Position Requirements:
A. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current certification by ARRT in radiology and CT. AHA or ARC BLS required.
B. Education: Completion of an AMA approved Radiology Technology training program.
C. Experience: Prefer 5 years of recent hospital CT. Skills commensurate with formal training requirement.
