Our patients and families are the center of every thought, communication and action that takes place in this healing space.Essential Functions:Maintain ARRT competency in all clinical and technical functions of the jobUnderstand and operate CT equipment and related information systems appropriately to ensure production of quality images.Ensure proper patient identification, order verification, and prepares the patient for the exam.Perform exams per department protocol.Review and evaluate images for quality, clarity, and accuracy, ensuring that all necessary anatomical structures are captured.Adheres to radiation safety guidelines and maintains a safe working environment for patients and staff.Completes studies within acceptable time limitations per department expectations without compromising patient care or the quality of the examination.Provide appropriate patient education, ensures patient comfort, and addresses patient and/or family concerns.Coordinate patient care and communicates pertinent information to other patient care providers following procedure.Stay updated with the latest advancements in CT technology, techniques, and protocols by participating in continuing education and professional development activities.Assist and instruct students and other radiology technologists in exam protocols, procedures, positioning, and equipment.Level I Technologist Minimum Qualifications:ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT (R) Upon Hire, RequiredCertified Computed Tomography Technologist - American Registry of Radiography Technologists ARRT (R)(CT), PreferredBasic Life Support Certification (BLS) within 60 days, RequiredLicensure in state of practice as applicable, Upon Hire, RequiredIV Competency within 90 Days, RequiredFor caregivers hired in this role in the State of Colorado, a Fluoroscopy certification, PreferredSpecific facility-based certification may also be required for this role. If this applies, each facility will define and manage compliance1-2 years Work Experience CT Experience in a hospital setting, PreferredLevel II Technologist Minimum Qualifications:Current ARRT (R) (CT) registration.Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association or the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire (with prior approval).Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CT Technologist.Demonstrated knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and skill in recognition of normal and abnormal variants.Demonstrated knowledge of radiation safety.Location:Good Samaritan HospitalWork City:LafayetteWork State:ColoradoScheduled Weekly Hours:36The hourly range for this position is listed below.
