CT TechnologistWe are seeking a CT Technologist, sometimes referred to as a Radiologic Technologist II (Rad Tech or Rad Tech II). As a CT Technologist you will specialize and be responsible for operating CT scanners and X-ray machines to produce cross-sectional images of patient's internal organs and tissues. You will assist in diagnosing medical conditions and the treatment plan process, by producing high-quality images that help healthcare providers make informed decisions about our patient care.
This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PD/PRN as needed.ResponsibilitiesTo perform duties in this position you must be CT certified and certified in one other modality.Prepare patients and ensure patients are properly positioned on the Computer Tomography (CT) table and explain the procedure to them with empathy, address any concerns or questions they may haveOperate CT scanners and/or X-ray machines to obtain images of the targeted body parts, which may involve adjusting the CT scanner settings to optimize image quality while minimizing radiation exposure, radiation safety at all timesMonitor our patients, as a CT Technologist ensure their comfort and safety throughout the procedureAssist other radiologists, as you will work closely with them, who interpret the images you produced by the CT exam, you may also assist in administering contrast agents or perform certain proceduresAccountable for the quality assurance of CT scanners / X-ray machines to ensure they function properly and produce accurate imagesQualificationsLicensure as required by StateEffective July 1, 2017 appropriate national certifications in two modalities requiredCurrent BCLS (AHA)Graduate of an accredited radiology technology program required, JRCERT accreditation preferredMust be familiar with State and Federal regulationsProficient computer skillsOne year of Acute Clinical Radiography preferredHere are some of the benefits of working at Prime Healthcare:Competitive compensationMedical insurance benefit plan401K
