Role Overview
As a CT Technologist, you will perform diagnostic CT exams using specialized equipment, collaborating closely with radiologists and healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality imaging results.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain ARRT or modality-specific competency
- verify patient identity and prepare for exams
- conduct imaging procedures per protocol while reviewing image quality
- adhere to radiation safety standards
- assist and instruct students and staff
- provide patient education and comfort
- operate CT equipment and information systems
- keep accurate records, and follow protocols for documentation, safety, and equipment maintenance
Qualifications & Skills
Must hold ARRT(R) certification, relevant state licensure, and BLS certification. Preferred qualifications include ARRT(CT) certification and 1+ years of CT experience. Skills required include anatomy knowledge, image evaluation, equipment operation, effective communication, teamwork, and task prioritization.
Physical & Other Requirements
Ability to read, communicate quickly, manipulate delicate equipment, lift and transfer patients, and navigate busy environments. The role involves manual dexterity, physical mobility, and extended standing.
