Position Overview
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking experienced CT Technologists for multiple full‑time opportunities in West Palm Beach, FL. The CT Technologist is responsible for operating computed tomography equipment to perform diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols and standards of care. The role provides direct and indirect patient care and requires comfort in trauma, stroke, pediatric, and invasive procedures in a fast‑paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of diagnostic CT imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols.
- Operate CT scanning equipment safely and effectively.
- Provide direct and indirect patient care throughout imaging procedures.
- Verify patient information and ensure accuracy of imaging requests, reports, and PACS documentation.
- Obtain required documentation, equipment, and supplies prior to procedures.
- Position patients appropriately to obtain high‑quality diagnostic images.
- Monitor patients and respond appropriately to patient care needs during procedures.
- Follow established radiation safety and infection prevention protocols.
- Maintain an organized and clean work environment.
- Monitor and maintain appropriate imaging and departmental supplies.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support quality patient care.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Allied Health or Radiologic Technology program.
- Minimum of six months of relevant clinical experience in trauma, stroke, pediatrics, and invasive procedures.
- Relevant student clinical rotation experience in a comparable acute care or hospital setting may be considered.
- Active American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiography required.
- Certified Radiologic Technologist credentials required.
- CT certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire.
- Current BLS/CPR certification through the American Heart Association required.
- Strong patient care, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced clinical environment.
