Job Summary

Operates computed tomography (CT) equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs, and tissues for medical diagnosis. Performs various imaging procedures, including general radiography and fluoroscopy.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care across different age groups.
  • Produce sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation.
  • Use PACS and teleradiology systems to transfer images accurately.
  • Maintain precise records, files, and billing information, ensuring patient confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
  • Perform routine maintenance and calibration of imaging equipment and manage supply inventory.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in R.T. (R)(CT) or R.T. (R) (required).
  • State licensure as a Radiologic Tech in CA (required).
  • Advanced Certification in CT (required in OR and HI; preferred in CA).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
  • Fluoroscopy license in CA if operating fluoroscopy equipment (required).
  • Venipuncture certification (preferred in CA and OR).

Essential Functions

  • Provide patient care with attention to safety, confidentiality, and accurate image production.
  • Ensure equipment is maintained and calibrated properly.
  • Adhere to organizational policies and regulations.
