Position Title: CT Technologist – Part‑time – Evening
Bell Hospital
The CT Technologist is responsible for producing images that provide cross‑sectional imaging for diagnosing disease processes. Procedures can be performed at various health system locations. CT Technologists are expected to participate in ongoing training and education.
Responsibilities And Essential Job Functions
- Acts as a liaison for communication between other departments and assists when called upon for special projects approved by the Radiology Department leadership team.
- Assists with developing continuing education strategies with the CT Department, which will further staff enrichment.
- Participates in providing teaching and learning opportunities to fellow technologists and students.
- Ensures that all staff operate equipment safely and optimally by adhering to policies, procedures and protocols.
- Operates CT scanners and auxiliary devices within designated locations; ensures radiation exposure is set to the lowest dose for reasonable image quality under radiologist oversight.
- Maintains an organized patient flow, coordinates examinations efficiently, and performs exams in a sequence that minimizes patient stay.
- Has an excellent working knowledge of contrast reactions and responds immediately to patient needs.
- Completes mandatory educational assignments as provided by supervisor or senior supervisor.
- Performs routine CT procedures at a very high standard and is able to perform specialty studies with increasing experience.
- Sets equipment parameters, provides patient assessment and education, and manages venous access for safe contrast administration.

Required Education And Experience
- High School Graduate or GED, OR
- Certificate of Completion in Radiologic Technology; graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology.
Preferred Education And Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Radiologic Technology or related field from an accredited institution.
- Experience performing basic CT procedures.
- At least 1 year of large‑facility experience.
Required Licensure And Certification
- Computed Tomography (CT) – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 180 days.
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist (LRT) – State Board of Healing Arts within 90 days.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS or BCLS) – American Heart Association (AHA).
Preferred Licensure And Certification
- Radiography (R) – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT); ARRT Radiography required to apply for Computed Tomography (CT).
Knowledge Requirements
- Advanced computer skills related to RIS, PACS, EMR.
