As a CT Technologist, you will work with our friendly radiologists assisting with various types of procedures. There are always opportunities to learn new things and be challenged in your career. Responsibilities
- Administer oral and IV contrast; evaluate patients for any allergic reactions; place correct IV for the exam being performed.
- Perform diagnostic computed tomography procedures at a technical level that does not require direct supervision on neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
- Perform exams as requested by ordering physicians and under the guidelines set by the standards of the Diagnostic Imaging Department.
- Perform all assigned duties by the Cat Scan Supervisor, Assistant Director or Director of Diagnostic Imaging.
- Operate and understand CT scanning equipment; practice ALARA standards; understand physician protocols and scan appropriately.
Qualifications
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- (ARRT-CT) Computed Tomography must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
- (ARRT-R) Radiography.
- Vocational School Graduate.
