CT Technologist (Computer Tomography)Performs all CT radiologic procedures at an advanced skills level. Performs procedures to produce computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of designated anatomical areas according to established practices and procedures.Responsibilities:Performs and documents all CT scansExplains procedures and addresses patient concernsEnsures patient comfort, safety, and proper positioningAdministers intravenous contrast under physician supervision and manages complicationsProficient in EHR and independent workstation operationConducts basic to advanced CT exams, including reconstructions and Cardiovascular CT imagingTrains students and new staff as a preceptorAssists with survey readiness, policy training, and equipment troubleshootingTakes call as needed, based on hospital requirementsProvides leadership in the absence of the Lead TechMentors CT Technicians (Tech I and Tech II)Minimum Education:Associates Degree RequiredLicenses:Registered Technologist-Computed Tomography - ARRT Upon Hire Required orCertified in Computed Tomography - NMTCB Upon Hire Required andBasic Life Support Upon Hire RequiredCourses and Training:Accredited program in radiologic technology and training in computer tomography procedures.
