Job TitlePerforms all CT radiologic procedures at an advanced skills level.Job DescriptionPerforms procedures to produce computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of designated anatomical areas according to established practices and procedures.ResponsibilitiesDuties and ResponsibilitiesPerforms all CT Scan studies; obtains patient history, explains routine procedures and addresses patient concerns. Prepares and maintains written documentation as required by the profession and the department. EHR proficiency Under the direct supervision of the physician, administers intravenous contrast media.

Recognizes complications (e.g., contrast reaction) and treats appropriately.Schedules cases to coordinate with other patient examinations.Positions and transfers patients comfortably, Immobilizes patients as necessary and practices radiation safety procedures.Performs all basic to advanced CT examinations, reconstructions and Cardiovascular CT imaging.Independent workstation proficiencyPreceptor/Trainer with students and/or new technicians/technologists as needed.If necessary, will take call to meet the needs of the department. On call requirements are defined separately by each hospital.Survey Readiness preparation/teaching, policy, and procedure training.4C/Standard Work assistanceEquipment knowledge and trouble shootingMentor for CT Technician, CT Tech I, and CT Tech IIDelegation skills, provides leadership role in absence of Lead Tech, Interdepartmental Involvement/assignments.Required for All Jobs:Performs other related duties as identified.WellSpan Health has adopted and implemented a compliance program to support WellSpan's values and standards for professionalism, integrity, and ethics. Required andCompleted CT Tech II skill sets at a WellSpan facility. RequiredLicenses:Registered Technologist-Computed Tomography - ARRT Upon Hire Required orCertified in Computed Tomography - NMTCB Upon Hire Required andBasic Life Support Upon Hire RequiredCourses and Training:Accredited program in radiologic technology and training in computer tomography procedures.
