Position: CT Technologist
Centralia, Washington
Openings: 3 (Full-Time - Day & Night Shifts Available)
Schedule: Full-Time (Day/Night Shift Options)
The CT Technologist performs advanced-level CT imaging procedures and a full range of diagnostic radiographic exams, including fluoroscopy, portables, and surgical imaging. This role is essential in delivering high-quality imaging services that support accurate diagnosis and treatment plans.
The technologist ensures patient safety, maintains compliance with regulatory standards, and upholds Providence's mission of compassionate, patient-centered care. Providence Centralia Hospital offers a supportive environment that values professionalism, teamwork, and whole-person care.
Key Responsibilities
CT Imaging
  • Perform advanced CT imaging exams following established protocols.
  • Ensure high-quality cross-sectional images for diagnostic interpretation.
  • Utilize appropriate radiation safety and dose-reduction techniques.
Diagnostic Radiology
  • Perform general X-ray, fluoroscopy, surgical imaging, and portable radiographic procedures.
  • Assist radiologists and providers during interventional or contrast-enhanced studies.
Patient Care
  • Prepare patients for procedures, explaining processes and addressing questions.
  • Maintain patient comfort, safety, privacy, and infection control standards.
  • Evaluate patient condition and modify procedures as needed based on clinical presentation.
Equipment & Workflow
  • Operate CT scanners, radiographic units, and imaging software efficiently.
  • Report equipment malfunctions and assist with troubleshooting.
  • Document and manage imaging data using PACS/RIS systems.
Compliance & Quality
  • Ensure compliance with hospital, state, and federal guidelines (ACR, DOH, Joint Commission).
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education.
Required Skills & Certifications
Required
  • Washington Radiologic Technologist Certification
  • ARRT - Registered Technologist in Radiography (R.T.(R))
  • BLS - American Heart Association
Preferred
  • CT Registry (ARRT - CT)
  • Previous hospital-based CT experience
  • Experience with multiple CT platforms (Client, Siemens, Philips, etc.)
Experience Requirements
  • 1+ year of CT imaging experience preferred (hospital environment ideal)
  • Experience performing diagnostic X-ray and fluoroscopy
  • New graduates may be considered if clinical training requirements are met
