CT Technologist - Casual

Note  : Pediatric work experience is NOT required. A desire to serve children and families is essential. Children’s has a robust orientation process.

Job Summary

Within the Imaging Department, under the direction of the Special Imaging Manager, the CT Technologist operates an automated CT scanner to obtain quality images for use by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies. The technologist positions patients for procedures, prepares radiopaque media, operates the scanner, and manipulates images to better demonstrate anatomical structures. They maintain proper documentation, provide a thorough history, and communicate effectively with the radiologist.

Must be able to commit to 16 hours each month outside of Memorial through Labor Day with a commitment of 32 hours a month.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT). Current State of Wisconsin license as a radiologic technologist is required.
• ARRT (CT) certification within 24 months of hire and ongoing maintenance of certification.
• Current CPR certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross is required. Six to twelve months of related experience preferred.

Certifications/Licenses

ARRT - Computed Tomography (CT); ARRT - Radiography (RG); BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider – American Heart Association/American Red Cross/National Safety Council; License Radiographer (142) – State of Wisconsin.
