JOB DESCRIPTION
The CT Technologist performs a variety of computerized tomographic procedures under the supervision of the Radiologist, utilizing knowledge of ionizing radiation and computer techniques.
Our CT Tech demonstrates concern for patients and co-workers at all times.
CT Technologist is one who successfully acquired certification in CT.
EDUCATION
Graduate from a school of Radiologic Technology approved by CAHEA/JRCT.
Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB). CT certification preferred.
This position requires verification of your college transcript.
EXPERIENCE
While experience in CT or a related radiology position is preferred, UVM Medical Center offers on‑the‑job CT training to candidates with active ARRT certification. Education materials are provided, and the cost of the CT certification exam is reimbursed after successfully passing the exam. New graduates are encouraged to apply!
SCHEDULE
Weekday shifts are scheduled for 8am-4pm, and weekend shifts are 2pm-10pm. Every other weekend required. While call is not required at this time, this may change if the need arises.

Using state‑of‑the‑art equipment, the CT team performs specialized exams for all certifications, including Cardiac, TAVI and research. The team uses Philips scanners, Epic EMR, and Visage for a PACS system.

SIGN‑ON BONUS AND RELOCATION ASSISTANCE
External candidates who have not worked within the network in the past year are eligible for a hiring bonus based on experience – bonuses for full‑time new hires are between $6,000 and $15,000 and are paid out over a few installments.
Candidates joining us in a full‑time CT Tech position from a distance greater than 50 miles from their previous role and home are eligible for relocation assistance up to $9,200.
