CORA's Computed Tomography (CT) Technologists operate scanners to produce cross-sectional images of patient’s body for diagnostic purposes. A CT technologist must be able to accurately interpret a physician’s scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, prepare, and operate the CT scan equipment and position the patient to capture the appropriate images using set protocols. Performs CT scans at a technical level, including a variety of technical procedures which require independent judgment for CT scanning diagnosis. Assists radiologist with invasive procedures.

Essential Duties

This position requires regular, reliable attendance. This position requires a high level of attention to detail and accuracy, as the consequences of even a minor mistake can be significant for patients and providers. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Performs CT exams in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
  • Administers contrast media orally and intravenously.
  • Performs venipunctures for the administration of I.V. contrast.
  • Provides liaison with radiologists for quality critique of exam images.
  • Communicates to all CT technologists' quality issues, equipment issues, protocol changes, and procedure changes.
  • Maintains documentation to ensure compliance.
  • Provides patient care and education instruction to patients.
  • Assists radiologist performing imaging and invasive procedures.
  • Verifies patient’s record is up to date and accurate. Makes appropriate changes in computer system and on patient’s medical record.
  • Assists with other medical office needs, including laundry, scheduling, telephone inquiries and data entry.
  • Performs other duties as necessary and assigned to keep the department running smoothly.
  • Must be flexible with work schedule as hours are subject to change based on patient needs.
  • Required to maintain current state license through OBMI and ARRT
  • Must have the ability to work cohesively with others.
  • Availability of working Saturdays as needed.

Education And Experience

  • State License (OBMI)
  • CT Certification, ARRT
  • CPR Certification
  • Prefer 2+ years of proven experience

CORA has a pre-employment drug testing requirement for all positions.
