What You’ll Do

  • Performs all routine and specialized CT procedures by integrating medical knowledge and technical skills with effective patient interaction to provide quality patient care and accurate diagnostic information.
  • Operates CT scanner for data acquisition, reconstruction, and documentation of images, and performs quality control measures for the purpose of ensuring optimal quality images.
  • Applies ALARA principle to ensure appropriate radiation safety for self, patient, and visitor; evaluates patient for pregnancy prior to exam as indicated.
  • Performs interventional procedures applying knowledge of equipment, supplies, and AORN standards.
  • May also be assigned to work as a Radiology Technologist.

Qualifications

  • Accredited School Required: Radiologic Technology
  • Minimum of 1 year previous experience preferred
  • Demonstrated venipuncture competency
  • ARRT (R) and/or ARRT(CT) required upon hire; Advanced CT certification is required within 1 year of hire
  • Radiology Technologist - Washington
  • Basic Life Support

Working Conditions: This role requires frequent standing, walking, reaching and the use of fine motor skills while operating medical equipment. The ability to lift up to 15 lbs. frequently and up to 30 lbs. occasionally. May involve patient handling, exposure to biohazards and airborne particles, and requires the ability to communicate effectively with normal vision and hearing (with reasonable accommodations).
