Job Summary
The CT Technologist (Full Time) performs advanced computed tomography (CT) imaging procedures under the direction of a radiologist, producing high-quality diagnostic images across multiple body planes for neonatal, pediatric, and adult patient populations. This role leverages the full capabilities of CT imaging equipment and related technologies to support accurate and timely diagnostic interpretation.
The CT Technologist maintains a high standard of patient safety, comfort, and care while supporting consistent departmental operations. This position plays a critical role in optimizing patient flow, examination throughput, and operational efficiency across scheduled shifts, ensuring imaging services are delivered effectively without compromising image quality or the patient experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform CT imaging procedures for inpatient and outpatient populations
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images in accordance with established protocols and regulatory standards
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and appropriate care throughout all imaging procedures
- Operate CT scanners and related imaging technologies effectively and safely
- Support efficient patient flow and examination throughput across assigned full-time shifts
- Complete accurate clinical documentation in compliance with departmental, regulatory, and accreditation requirements
- Maintain compliance with licensure, certification, and continuing education requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associate's Degree from an approved school of Radiologic Technology
- Registered Technologist credential through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- ARRT-CT certification required within six (6) months of hire, if applicable
- Must maintain active status in good standing with ARRT or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB), including required continuing education and annual license renewal
ARRT-CT Eligibility (Applicants May Be)
- Enrolled in an approved ARRT-accredited Computed Tomography (CT) program
- Recent graduate of an approved ARRT-accredited Computed Tomography (CT) program and eligible for ARRT-CT certification
- Experienced Registered Technologist eligible for ARRT-CT certification through ARRT
Preferred Qualifications
- Current Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist certification through ARRT
Work Environment & Schedule
- Full-time position
- Hospital and/or outpatient clinical imaging environment
- Schedule may include weekends, holidays, or extended hours based on departmental needs
