CT TechnologistUS Heart and Vascular is in need of a PRN CT Technologist to join our team at Pima Heart and Vascular in Tucson, AZ.Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvides excellent patient care, acting with professionalism and empathy at all timeProvides patient care in a timely manner, communicates with radiologist, and works efficiently as a team memberPreforms a variety of tasks and works under general supervisionHelps maintain quality control of CT machineFollows radiation safety techniquesPerforms diagnostic CT studies on patients as prescribed by physician and explains procedure to patients to assure cooperation and optimal test resultsPrepares and positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accuratelyObserves patient during procedure and reports abnormal activityAdhere to guidelines for sterilizing and cleaning of radiologic equipmentAdminister contrast materialView images and adjust parameters to achieve high quality diagnostic imagingFollows and enforces Pima Heart policies and proceduresSuccessfully complete in person device/application specific trainingSafeguard the privacy of patient health informationRelies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goalsKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesMust have excellent interpersonal and critical thinking skillsAbility to prepare for procedures including moving patientsMinimum RequirementsMust be a graduate of an accredited school of Radiology TechnologyMust be a current licensed CT Technologist in the State of Arizona.Must be registered with ARRTBLS/CPR CertificationPreferred QualificationsExperience with cardiac imaging preferredExperience scanning on Canon/Toshiba machine preferredStep into a meaningful role that combines advanced cardiology practice with patient-centered care.
