CT Technologist, 40 Hour Evenings -$15,000 sign-on bonus and new higher rates

Position: CT Technologist

Location: Boston, MA

Schedule: Full time; 40 hours per week, Sunday through Thursday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Compensation: Up to $5,000 relocation reimbursement, $15,000 sign‑on bonus, and new higher rates. Hourly rate $48.90–$62.03. Includes benefits such as medical, dental, vision, 403(b) retirement plan, tuition reimbursement, and more.

Position Summary

Under direct supervision of the CT Manager, the CT Technologist utilizes computerized tomography scanners to produce cross‑sectional images of patients’ internal organs and tissues for diagnostic purposes. You will gain a wide range of experience using cutting‑edge technology while working with a great team to help further BMC’s mission of providing exceptional care for all.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate a CT scanner and perform technologist duties to ensure proper departmental workflow, conducting studies for patients of all ages as directed by policy and procedure.
• Follow requisitions to provide the correct study; verify exam requisition matches patient identification, condition, or history, and seek additional information as needed.
• Prepare patients for exams, ensuring their comfort and modesty at all times.
• Accommodate patient and staffing needs with flexibility in scheduling and timeliness of studies; monitor patients and facilitate care when assistance is required.
• Set up equipment and use proper imaging techniques; adjust imaging factors to improve study quality.
• Work with radiologist requirements to provide appropriate images and additional views or techniques as requested.
• Complete procedures promptly while delivering quality images to Radiology and other departments; finish work by shift end or communicate with coworkers about pending work.
• Provide patient‑focused customer service, addressing complaints professionally to supervisors.
• Minimize discussion around patients, ensuring they are not exposed to inappropriate departmental conversations; handle telephone calls and service requests professionally.
• Treat patients and staff with dignity and respect; report all problems to supervisors and complete billing documentation, including electronic orders and paperwork.
• Follow managed care guidelines to ensure proper billing for Radiology procedures.

Job Requirements

• Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology and ARRT registered in Radiologic Technology; CT specialization required or obtained within one year of employment.
• BLS or CPR certification required.
• IV certification required.

Compensation Range

$48.90–$62.03 per hour. This estimate is based on minimum qualifications; total compensation includes benefits, contract increases, FSA, 403(b) match, earned time cash out, PTO, career advancement opportunities, and resources supporting employee and family well‑being.
