CT Technologist – Full Time
Mid Shift: Sun 10a-9p, Mon/Thurs/Fri 12p-9p
Sign-On Bonus: $25,000 for new hires and rehires who meet eligibility requirements
The CT Technologist performs diagnostic testing as directed by the physician at a competent technical level not requiring constant supervision. This position operates diagnostic equipment, including peripheral equipment, in a safe and efficient manner to obtain optimal test results. The CT Technologist manages the patient during the diagnostic procedure to meet patient care standards. This position ensures supplies are maintained and reports problems with equipment to the appropriate staff member. This position actively participates in and supports student clinical education activities where applicable. This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation.

Responsibilities
- Operate diagnostic equipment, including peripheral equipment, to obtain optimal test results.
- Manage patients during diagnostic procedures to meet patient care standards.
- Maintain supplies and report equipment problems to the appropriate staff member.
- Participate in student clinical education activities where applicable.
- Provide quality customer service and participate in performance improvement efforts.
Qualifications
- BLS for Healthcare Providers required
- Licensed by the State of NJ Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) required
- Registered as American Registry of Radiology Technologist in Computed Tomography (CT) required
- Graduate of an accredited radiological technologist school required
- 1-year diagnostic testing experience preferred
- Candidates must possess ability to multitask, with attention to fine detail in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred at time of hire; incumbents within position will be trained appropriately and then skill will be required for this position within 30-60 days from date of hire
- NJDEP State License expires every two years and must be renewed biennially to work
- ARRT expires on incumbent's date of birth and must be renewed annually to work
Work Environment
Potential for exposure to the hazards and risk of the hospital environment, including exposure to infectious disease, blood-borne pathogens, potential injury, and hazardous substances, including electromagnetic radiation. Position requires the ability to stand a majority of the time; technologist performing MRIs require the ability to sit in front of a CRT monitor much of the time. Position requires extensive pushing, pulling and lifting of patients and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Reporting Relationship
This position reports to the CT Supervisor.
