Job Description
Performs all CT procedures producing CT radiographs of designated anatomical areas as ordered/directed, according to established practices and procedures. Reports to Supervisor or Manager.
Responsibilities

- Prepares written documentation as required by the profession and the department, such as evaluation results, individualized treatment plans, and progress reports.
- Transports patients to CT Scan room; prepares and maintains room for daily activities; selects and operates equipment as directed.
- Assists physician in administering medicines as required and in CT interventional procedures; maintains sterile technique.
- Schedules cases to coordinate with other patient examinations; performs venipuncture; requests and orders supplies to keep materials on hand at all times.
- Ensures adherence to departmental policies and procedures, quality assurance, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
- Performs POC creatinine testing, including blood draw, QC, machine maintenance, and competencies where applicable.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program.
- Associate's degree or graduate of a radiologic technology program preferred.
- Good interpersonal/human relations skills; good oral/written communication skills; good teamwork; good critical thinking/decision making; superior organizational skills.
- License & Cert: Current State License; American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT R) or Registry Eligible or current temp license; CT certification by ARRT within 18 months of hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- Prolonged standing, walking, or sitting; lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds; transferring and repositioning patients; extensive patient care movements.
- Visual and auditory acuity; manual dexterity; ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations.
- Exposure to hazardous chemicals, infectious agents, and radiation; PPE provided and must be worn; safety and infection control standards observed.
- Irregular or extended hours in emergency circumstances; direct contact with blood or body fluids applying universal precautions; potential hazardous energy exposure.
- Position involves frequent lifting/moving of patients and long periods of standing while wearing protective radiation attire (lead apron).
