What You'll Do
As a CT Technologist / Radiologic Technologist, you will:
- Perform high-quality CT and diagnostic radiology examinations according to department protocols.
- Verify patient identity, review physician orders, and prepare patients for imaging procedures.
- Evaluate images for quality, positioning, technical accuracy, and diagnostic usefulness.
- Safely administer contrast media and monitor patients for adverse reactions when required.
- Adhere to all radiation safety standards and departmental policies to ensure a safe environment for patients and caregivers.
- Complete imaging studies efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of patient care and image quality.
- Educate patients about procedures, answer questions, and promote comfort throughout the exam process.
- Operate CT scanners, X-ray equipment, and related imaging systems proficiently.
- Maintain accurate patient records, exam documentation, and procedure-related information.
- Assist with training, orientation, and mentoring of students and fellow imaging caregivers.
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives, equipment monitoring, and departmental process improvement activities.
- Practice proper infection prevention and sterile technique standards.

Minimum Qualifications
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(R)
- ARRT (CT) preferred or obtained within a specified timeframe per department requirements
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers
- IV Competency within 30 days of hire

Physical Requirements
- Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
- Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.
- Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
- Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.)
- May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
