CT Tech/Long Beach, CA (Onsite)- 13 weeks

Job Title: CT Tech

• Location: Long Beach, CA
• Job Duration: 13 weeks

Shift & Schedule

• Shift: Night shift, 5x8-hour days (10:00 PM - 6:30 AM), with occasional "Mids Start " and alternating variable start times of 2:30 PM - 11:30 PM.
• Scheduling Type: Scheduled by the lead CT tech and manager.
• Call Requirement: No.
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience: Minimum: 2 years required, 3 years preferred.
• Travel Experience: Not required.
• Hospital Experience: Experience in a Level II Trauma Center is preferred.
• Certifications: Required: ARRT R, BLS, and Venipuncture License.
• Skills: Must be proficient in a wide range of CT procedures for various body parts, including:
• Image Processing: 3D rendering (MIP, SSD, VR), Multiplanar reconstruction (MRP), and ROI measurement.
• Body Areas: Abdomen and Pelvis, Head and Neck, Spine and Musculoskeletal, Thoracic.
• Procedures: CT arthrography, Coronary CTA, CT colonography, Brain perfusion, Vascular CTA, and IV contrast administration.
• Other: Starting Peripheral IVs, Radiation Safety, and Isolation Precautions.

Charting System: EPIC.
Vaccines: Flu vaccine is required, but medical/religious exemptions are accepted.
COVID-19 vaccine is not required.
Notes: The facility accepts local candidates (within 50 miles) at a local rate. Pre-approved time off must be included at the time of submission.
Unit & Facility Details

• Unit: CT Tech - Long Beach
• Daily Visits: Approximately 135 visits per day, with a daily census of 300.
• Number of Rooms: 2 rooms.
• Patient Population: Neonates, Infants, Adolescents, Adults, Pediatrics, and Geriatrics.
• Additional Info: This is a fast-paced, high-volume department with two Canon CT scanners (64 and 320 slice). A tech assistant is available, and a minimum of two CT techs per shift is preferred.
