Multi Modality Technologist
The Multi Modality Technologist provides diagnostic patient care services and related diagnostic procedures in more than one Radiology modality. This role is responsible for the independent operation of imaging equipment and for performing diagnostic examinations using multiple modalities. The Multi Modality Technologist also oversees the daily operations of the department, including patient scheduling and equipment maintenance. The technologist must report equipment failures and conduct quality assessments. Responsibilities include ensuring patient identification and safety, following established guidelines and standards. Competency in patient and technical imaging skills must be demonstrated through the production of various radiological procedures. Age-specific care must be provided to patients ranging from neonates to geriatrics. The technologist will perform equipment quality control and accurately record all requested database or log records. Commitment to the hospital's mission and values is essential. Maintaining licensure and continuing education requirements is required. Compliance with state and federal regulations and readiness for inspections by regulatory bodies must be effectively followed. The technologist will instruct students and new staff after one year of experience. Demonstration of the ability to work independently is necessary. Administrative skills will be utilized to ensure the successful operation of the department, including accurate billing in the RIS. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary, and compliance with all policies and standards is required. Confidentiality must be maintained regarding Protected Health Information (PHI) in accordance with workplace policies and procedures.
