CT Clinical Preceptor Instructor Technologist

This position involves performing diagnostic imaging procedures in advanced modalities such as CT, MRI, and others, on both adults and pediatric patients. The Advanced Modality Clinical Instructor provides hands‑on supervision, training, and evaluation of students and new staff, ensuring adherence to safety and clinical protocols. Responsibilities include preparing patients and equipment, independently conducting studies, establishing work standards, and collaborating with affiliated program directors to develop protocols. The role also entails training and mentoring students and staff, maintaining accurate records, and supporting ongoing medical education. The position emphasizes promoting professional growth and ensuring seamless integration of new technologists into the department.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Associate’s Degree or Trade School equivalent
• Certification as R.T.(R), CT, or related credentials
• 2-5 years of CT experience; 5-10 years preferred
• Experience as a clinical educator or preceptor is advantageous
• Licenses such as IEMA (excluding MRI) and relevant certifications
• Strong teaching, communication, and technical skills in advanced imaging modalities

Key Duties:

• Perform diagnostic imaging studies independently and in on‑call scenarios
• Train, mentor, and evaluate students and staff
• Develop and update clinical protocols and training materials
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and hospital regulations
• Participate in clinical meetings and coordinate educational activities
