The CSU Electrical Superintendent supports the preparation of home office deliverables and site inspection and testing performed during the Commissioning and Start-Up (CSU) phase of the project.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Reports to the CSU Manager.
- Assist planning, development and execution of a safe Pre-commissioning, Commissioning, Startup and Performance Testing of the facility.
- Manages CSU electrical personnel in the develop of project deliverables (e.g., schedules, procedures, manuals, systemization, spares, etc.)
- Liaise with equipment manufacturers during the execution of site activities.
- Liaise with the Preservation Coordinator in maintaining electrical equipment.
- Implements, maintains or changes work schedules of electrical personnel.
Essential Qualifications and Education:
- 10+ years of experience in a lead electrical role for HV/MV/LV equipment on EPC projects or in an operating petrochemical facility.
- Familiar with codes and standards of NETA, NEC, IEEE, NFPA and ANSI.
- Effectively communicate technical solutions to other engineers and non-engineers.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint (presentation skills), Visio.
- Knowledgeable in the develop of operating manuals, standard operating procedures.
- Good organizational skills and adaptable to potential changes in the project.
- Proficiency in English
Preferred Qualifications and Education:
- Electrical certification from an accredited apprentice program.
- B.S. Electrical Engineering.
- Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
- Local Area Safety Council Certificate.
All qualifications must comply with provincial human rights legislation.
