Certified Surgical TechnicianAs a Certified Surgical Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our surgical patients. You will work under the direction of a Registered Nurse to provide peri-operative care and assist in various surgical procedures. Your responsibilities will include:Assuring that the physical environment is appropriately prepared before the arrival of surgical patients.Collaborating with the Registered Nurse to develop a comprehensive plan of care for each patient.Adhering to established procedures to maintain a safe environment for both patients and staff.Assisting the surgical team during procedures, including Orthopedic, General, Gynecological, Urological, and Neurological surgeries.Providing surgical support for patients across a wide range of age groups, from Pediatric to Geriatric populations.Demonstrating proficiency in surgical technology techniques and equipment operation.Ensuring the maintenance and availability of surgical instruments and supplies.Following infection control practices and maintaining sterile fields during procedures.To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:Minimum of 2 years of operating room experience.Experience in Orthopedic, General, Gynecological, Urological, and Neurological surgeries.Experience working with Pediatric and Geriatric populations.Certification Requirements:Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) certification.Skills and Abilities:Strong attention to detail and a commitment to patient safety.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.Proficiency in surgical technology practices and equipment operation.
