We succeed as a team by embracing integrity, mutual respect, innovation, service, sustainability, and financial strength.Position OverviewThe Crusher Maintenance Technician is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of crushing and screening equipment used in aggregate production operations. This role is critical to ensuring maximum equipment uptime, operational efficiency, and safe production of high-quality materials. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and experienced in working with heavy equipment in a mining or aggregate environment.Key ResponsibilitiesEquipment Maintenance & RepairPerform routine preventative maintenance on crushers, screens, conveyors, feeders, and associated equipmentDiagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues and perform timely repairsReplace wear parts including liners, belts, bearings, rollers, and screensInspection & TroubleshootingConduct daily and periodic inspections to identify potential equipment failuresTroubleshoot and resolve production issues to minimize downtimeMaintain accurate maintenance records and inspection logsSafety & ComplianceFollow all company safety policies and MSHA regulationsParticipate in safety meetings, hazard assessments, and job safety analysesEnsure proper lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures are followed during maintenance activitiesPlant Operations SupportWork closely with plant operators and supervisors to coordinate maintenance activitiesAssist with plant startups, shutdowns, and changeoversMonitor equipment performance and make recommendations for improvementsWelding & FabricationPerform basic to advanced welding, cutting, and fabrication as needed for equipment repairAssist with modifications to improve equipment efficiency and longevityParts & Inventory ManagementAssist in identifying and ordering replacement parts and maintaining appropriate inventory levelsTrack usage of wear parts and recommend stocking levelsContinuous ImprovementIdentify opportunities to improve maintenance practices, reduce downtime, and enhance safetySupport plant efficiency and cost-control initiativesQualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
