This will include diagnosing issues, ordering parts, writing technical reports, maintaining the care of company assets, and communicating professionally with others. They will perform quality work as efficiently and profitably as possible.Crusher Heavy Equipment Field Service Technician/Mechanic Essential FunctionsCommunicates and supports the Kirby Smith vision and core values of One Mission, One Team, One Plan, One GoalPerforms diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of manlifts, including articulating, vertical, and telescopic models.Troubleshoots hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems to identify and resolve issuesConducts preventative maintenance tasks, such as inspections and adjustments, following manufacturer guidelinesCompletes repairs efficiently and within established time limitsEnsures all equipment complies with safety and operational standards in accordance with OSHA, ANSI, and company policiesMaintains accurate and detailed documentation, including repair reports, parts orders, and service logsKeeps service vehicle clean, organized, and fully stocked with tools and partsDelivers exceptional customer service through clear communication and professional conduct at job sitesParticipates in company and manufacturer training programs to stay current with new tools, technology, and repair methodsTravels to customer locations with occasional overnight staysConsistent and reliable on-site attendancePerforms other job-related duties as assignedCrusher Heavy Equipment Field Service Technician/Mechanic QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalentTwo (2) years of experience diagnosing and repairing manlifts or similar aerial equipmentSkilled in reading and interpreting hydraulic and electrical schematicsProficient in the use of diagnostic tools, hand tools, and specialized repair equipmentMust provide and maintain a set of hand tools and any special tools required by the companyValid driver's license; CDL may be required based on job responsibilitiesMust be able to obtain and maintain a valid DOT medical cardAbility to work overtime, travel overnight, and work weekends as neededCrusher Heavy Equipment Field Service Technician/Mechanic Physical RequirementsPush/Pull/Lift/Carry up to 100 pounds without assistancePhysical ability to squat, twist, turn, bend, stoop, climb, and reach overheadMust be able to work in extreme heat or cold and wet, damp, dusty, or windy conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises, hazardous materials, and fumes/odorsPhysical ability to perform maintenance on equipment for extended hours, with continual mounting and dismounting throughout the workdayAbility to adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) policy and maintain individual PPE in functional conditionThis is considered a Safety-Sensitive position.
