Cross Access Geolocation Systems EngineerPeraton is hiring a Cross Access Geolocation Systems Engineer to join our Cyber Mission business unit in Jessup, MD. As a systems engineer on our team, you will support one of the largest enterprise-wide Engineering contracts within the Intelligence Community. This is a full-time position requiring 1880 hours of support per year; and work is performed at the customer site.
As a Cross Access Geolocation Systems Engineer on our team you will provide integration support (requirements, specification through development) of cooperative geolocation systems. You will also represent the customer's organization at technical exchanges and will support the development of collaborative, cross organizational and cross system solutions. You must be able to work across military and Intelligence organization boundaries to build consensus on contentious technical issues that arise as you aid the creation of a suite of community cross geolocation specifications and implementations.
You will apply your knowledge of RF signals and technology, especially modern wireless and cellular signals, radars, and computer-to-computer RF signals, to support the customer's development of a strategy for enhancing community geolocation capabilities. Activities associated with this position include:Drafting documents such as strategy papers, concepts of operation, systems requirements documentation, and other similar productsParticipating in requirements elicitation and requirement development through concept development of proposed technical solution(s); this will include evaluating proposed capabilities requirements and articulating both top level and lower-level system requirements to achieve the desired end stateParticipating in system architecture development, interface- and data exchange-standardization, and other technical coordination functions required to implement specified capability requirementsMonitoring status of on-going projects and programs and making technical recommendations at decision points to government based on change requests, issues, and/or test results.Qualifications:Individual Capabilities/Experience Required:Bachelor's degree in a qualified engineering field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 20 years of general systems engineering experiencea Master's degree or PhD in a qualified engineering field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 18 years of general systems engineering experience, or a high school diploma or GED with a minimum of 24 years of general systemsSkilled technical process manager with strong written and oral communication skillsPosition requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraphIndividual Capabilities/Experience Desired:Experience with system development and collaborative standards development and implementationUnderstanding of modern cellular and wireless communications protocols especially in the context of locating those signalsKnowledgeable of a variety of radio signal geolocation techniquesExperience with Military Service and Intelligence Community SIGINT collection and geolocation systemsKnowledge of Airborne (or All Domain) Overhead Cooperative Operations (AOCO) programsPeraton offers enhanced benefits to employees working on this critical National Security program, which include heavily subsidized employee benefits coverage for you and your dependents, 25 days of PTO accrued annually up to a generous PTO cap and eligible to participate in an attractive bonus plan.Target Salary Range: $176,000 - $282,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position.
Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
