Responsibilities

• Perform and document a pre‑anesthetic assessment and evaluation of the patient.
• Develop and implement an anesthetic plan of care, including monitoring modalities and post‑anesthesia follow‑up evaluation and care.
• Select, obtain and administer the anesthetic plan of care, including induction, maintenance and emergence phase anesthesia.
• Recognize alterations in physiologic responses to the surgical procedure and/or the anesthetic, take appropriate action and notify the responsible physician as indicated.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education

• Graduate of an accredited CRNA program.

Certifications

• Current RN licensure and CRNA certification from the Ohio Board of Nursing.
• Current certification and ongoing professional certification (CPC) with the National Board of Certification Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) and State Board of Nursing endorsement.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) are required.
• Advanced Pediatric Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) – may be required based on work setting.

Complexity of Work

• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment.

Physical Requirements

• Full range of motion; manual and finger dexterity and eye‑hand coordination.
• Standing and walking for extensive periods and ability to lift and transport patients.
• Corrected hearing and vision within normal range.
• Exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.
• Ability to work under extreme pressure.

Personal Protective Equipment

• Follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

Minimum Annual Salary: $230,000.00

Maximum Annual Salary: $299,000.00

The pay range displayed reflects the anticipated range for new hires. Actual compensation may be higher or lower depending on factors such as job responsibilities, experience, skills, scheduling, education, licensure, and area of licensure. The range does not include additional pay practices or the value of Cleveland Clinic’s comprehensive benefits package (healthcare, dental and vision coverage, retirement savings contributions, and more). The listed range is based on a full‑time (1.0 FTE).
