Snapshot / Role Overview
We are seeking a Critical Facilities Project Engineer in Phoenix, AZ to support mission critical mechanical construction in one of the fastest growing data center markets.
Impact
- Support large chilled water and air side scopes from submittal to startup.
- Reduce schedule risk through proactive procurement tracking.
- Improve field productivity with responsive document control.
- Deliver accurate closeout packages that speed final payment.
Responsibilities
- Manage submittals, RFIs, and procurement logs.
- Coordinate equipment deliveries and site staging plans.
- Review shop drawings and fabrication packages.
- Support budget tracking, forecasting, and change documentation.
- Assist commissioning teams during functional testing.
- Attend coordination meetings with owners and contractors.
- Maintain complete and current project records.
- Prepare owner manuals and warranty documentation.
Requirements
Must-Haves
- Hold a technical degree or equivalent field experience.
- Bring two or more years on commercial mechanical projects.
- Read construction documents and specifications.
- Work well under fast track schedules.
- Complete OSHA 30 training or obtain it after hire.
Nice-to-Haves
- Bring mission critical or industrial experience.
- Use Procore and Bluebeam.
- Understand high heat load cooling strategies.
